Kathleen holds a Masters in Exercise Physiology from the University of Virginia, where she also competed on the track and field team. During her running career, Kathleen shattered countless records, many of which she still holds today.
However, after 10 years of intense, competitive running, Kathleen struggled to find a healthy, balanced relationship with exercise. The focus on physique and health that had propelled her into a world class runner turned into a daily struggle with body image and self-worth.
It wasn’t until Kathleen joined Iron Maidens Fitness as a client where she finally began to see her physical and emotional health begin to connect in a productive way.
Kathleen immediately loved that IMF didn’t strive for a false model of abstract perfection, all about checking boxes. Rather, she found a supportive community of women who lifted each other up while making real changes to physical AND emotional health.
This led Kathleen to become a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine and become a coach with Iron Maidens.
One of Kathleen’s favorite aspect of coaching is leading with empathy and helping clients love and care for their body through exercise.
